India went without a T20I win against the Windies for four years but now stand a chance to whitewash the World T20 champions in the three-match series at home. India batted Windies out of the game in the second T20I at Lucknow after a below-par batting performance at the Eden Gardens. After winning the series, India decided to rest their key bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav for the final game in Chennai.

All the key stats and numbers ahead of the final game of the three-match T20I series:

1 – The MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai hosted only one T20I; India vs New Zealand in 2012. India ended up on the losing side in that game as they made 166/4 in response to New Zealand’s 167/5.


17 – Rohit Sharma has a batting average of 17 in the Twenty20s at the Chepauk. The Indian skipper scored 85 runs across seven T20 innings at this venue with the best score of 23. In the venues where Rohit played more than five T20 innings, Chepauk is the only venue where he has failed to go past 30.


96 – Rohit Sharma has hit 96 sixes in T20I cricket. Only Chris Gayle (103) and Martin Guptill (103) have hit over 100 sixes in this format. Rohit needs 69 more runs to become the leading run-getter in the T20I format surpassing Guptill’s tally of 2271.


97Rishabh Pant has hit a total of 97 sixes in his 57-match Twenty20 career thus far. Pant hit those 97 T20 sixes taking 11.28 balls per maximum.


198 – Number of dismissals Dinesh Karthik has effected in his Twenty20 career as a wicketkeeper. He needs two more dismissals to become the 4th keeper with 200 T20 dismissals.


199 – Number of boundary fours Rohit Sharma has hit in his T20I career. Only four players namely Tillakaratne Dilshan (223), Mohammad Shahzad (218), Virat Kohli (214) and Martin Guptill (200) have hit over 200 fours in this format thus far.


997 – Rohit has scored 997 runs in international cricket across 19 innings as Indian captain. He scored 463 runs alone in the T20Is as a captain across 11 innings with two centuries and two fifties.


1000 – Krunal Pandya needs 12 more runs to reach the four-figure mark having scored 988 runs in 63 T20s. Manish Pandey is also nearing 1000 runs in international cricket with 974 runs under his belt.


2988 – Dinesh Karthik is 12 runs away from completing 3000 runs in international cricket. Karthik has scored 1663 runs in ODIs, 1025 in Test cricket and 300 runs in the T20Is.
