England Women will be touring India for a 3-match ODI series in Mumbai followed by a 3-match T20I series in Guwahati against the hosts. The ODI series will be part of the ICC Women’s ODI Championship unlike the last year’s series in April which India won by a 2-1 margin. The India Women will be taking confidence from their recent success in the bilateral ODI series. On the other hand, England is boosted by the return of Sarah Taylor and all-rounder Katharine Brunt.

Here are all the key stats and numbers ahead of the 3-match ODI series between India and England:

3Smriti Mandhana has won the player of the series award in three of the five bilateral ODI series that India Women have played since the start of 2018. She was the player of series during the South Africa series, England series and New Zealand series. Though Mandhana wasn’t the player of the series against Australia and Sri Lanka, she scored two fifties in each of those contests.

26.39 – Difference between Heather Knight’s batting average and bowling average in ODI format since the start of 2016. She scored 1231 runs at an average of 49.24 with her only ODI century and nine fifties across 34 matches in which she claimed 22 wickets at an average of 22.66.

63 – Jhulan Goswami bagged 63 wickets in ODIs against England; the 2nd most number of wickets by any player against an opponent in Women’s ODIs. Australia’s Cathryn Fitzpatrick bagged 79 wickets against New Zealand in this format. The first game of the series will be Jhulan’s 50th ODI against England.

90 – Mandhana has a batting average of 90 in the first match of a series since the start of 2018. In the five series, she scored 70+ scores on instances and a century where India won. India lost to Australia where Mandhana scored only 12 runs.

1798 – Mandhana aggregated 1798 runs from her 47-match ODI career. If she scores 202 more runs in this series, she will become the 3rd fastest Women to complete 2000 ODI runs. The 3rd game of this series will be Mandhana’s 50th ODI match.

2010 – The last instance of India Women playing an ODI without Harmanpreet Kaur in the playing XI was in February 2010 also during a home ODI series against England. In these nine years, Harmanpreet has featured in all 87 ODIs played by the Indian Women.
