The India v Sri Lanka bilateral series has turned out to be a rather one-sided affair. The Men in Blue decimated the Islander both in the Tests and ODIs and will aim to do an encore in the ongoing T20I series as well. The Indian team has already won the first of the three T20Is played in Cuttak. A win in the Indore game would ensure a series win for the Rohit Sharma– led squad.
However, while prepping up in the nets, the Indian batsman faced a rare challenge. Apart from the regular and the net bowlers, the Indian batsmen faced an experienced left-arm spinner in the nets. It was none other than the team’s head coach Ravi Shastri
The 55-year-old veteran was spotted rolling over his arms at the nets in Indore ahead of the 2nd T20I fixture. The former orthodox spinner thwarted down few deliver under the watchful eyes of throw-down specialist Raghu, who gives throw-downs at 145-150 kph for hours to the batsmen in the lines and lengths they wish to work on.
Shastri later took to his Twitter account to post a picture. He wrote- “Watched by a hawk Raghu”

The search for a good left-arm seamer is still on
While the batting unit has delivered as it always does, the surprise act was the crop of bowlers brimming with confidence and tenacity. Fair to say, without the imperative contribution of the bowling department, India wouldn’t have thrived against the world class opponents.
However, although the Indian cricket team is brimming with young fast bowlers, who will prove to be a big asset during overseas tours, the search for a good left-arm seamer is still on. They have tried a few names in the past and Jaydev Unadkat is a part of the current team playing this series.
With the regular bowlers rested for the remainder of the series, the Jasprit Bumrah-led young Indian pace attack is all fired up and will aim to cement their place in the team.
