Jaydev Unadkat was a surprise package this IPL as very few expected him to be in this list. He led the thin looking bowling attack of RPS ever since he was drafted into the side and constantly picked wickets with his slower balls and off-cutters. Unadkat has immensely improved his bowling compared to the previous seasons or even to the domestic performances.

He picked 24 wickets in 12 matches and even went on to register a five-for against the defending champions when he defended 13 in the final over. Unadkat became the only bowler who bowled 3 maidens in the tournament this year. He showed a lot of character throughout the season and was instrumental in defending middling totals of around 150-160 against the teams like Sunrisers, Mumbai and RCB. He also took the onus on himself in the absence of Stokes in the playoffs and almost won RPS a title by bowling a wonderful spell of 2/19 in the final which included a superb catch of Lendl Simmons off his own bowling. Unadkat has never looked so flawless and could be in line for the national call up soon, albeit in T20Is for now.
