It is time for the Finals of Indian T20 League 2019 and our teams are all set. We are finally at the stage we have all been waiting for. This year’s Indian T20 League edition has been the most competitive wherein all the teams tried their level best to make it to the finals. And Yes!! It is the match which is going to have a lot of riding on it.

Mumbai were uncharacteristically compatible in their run to finals whereas Chennai made their way after beating Delhi in Qualifier 2. Now it’s time for Mumbai to face their arch-rival Chennai in the final. Mumbai will have a head-on with Chennai on Sunday, 12th of May 2019 at Rajiv Gandhi Intl. Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad at 8 PM IST. This stadium is supposed to favour more for bowling side proving phenomenon for spinners.

Exceptionally Mumbai didn’t have a really slow start this year. They maintained their consistency across the league by always ending up in the top 4 positions in the point chart. The key reason for their such performance being Quinton de Kock, Kieron Pollard, and undoubtedly Hardik Pandya. Under the able guidance of Rohit Sharma, the army in the blue managed to make it to the final.

Mumbai is an all-rounder team with a very good bowling line-up which includes JJ Bumrah, Lasith Malinga, Rahul Chahar, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya with a good mixture of best batsmen like Quinton de Kock, Kieron Pollard, Evin Lewis who has the ability to hit long.

On the other hand, Chennai under Dhoni have continued their excellent run in Indian T20 League where they have qualified for the four consecutive years in every edition they played in. MS Dhoni knows this stage better than any other player. Chennai has made it to the finals of the league for the 9th time in the history of the tournament.

Chennai bowlers have a commanding position over the opposition along with a strong batting queue including Dwayne Bravo, Kedar Jadhav, SR Watson, Suresh Raina.  It will be really an interesting match to see which side continues its winning performance and make it to the title of Indian T20 league 2019.

Pitch Report:

The wicket here is considered as a flat track which tends to slow down as the game progresses. This means that the spinners would enjoy bowling here more than the pacers. So one may not expect a high scoring game but it could still be one as there are attacking batsmen in both the teams.
