This might be Bangalore’s last chance for the slightest of hope to make it to the playoffs. After losing all four of their games this year, Virat Kohli and co will now host Kolkata for their second home game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. One more loss, and the hosts may technically be out of the race to make it to the playoffs. Kolkata, on the other hand, are a balanced side who have lost just one match this season, that too in the Super Over. Let us take a look at both the teams before your decide your Fantain XI for Kolkata vs Bangalore.
Venue – M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore
Team news – Kolkata

Team News – Bangalore
Kohli will be under a lot of pressure to get his playing XI right for this game. It will be a safer bet to make your Fantain XI only after Kohli announces his playing XI.
Likely playing XI –
Parthiv Patel, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Akshdeep Nath (wk), Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj
Andre Russell – If you had to decide who the best all-rounder is in this season based on performances so far, it would be Andre Russell hands down. He has been in sensational form, scoring quick runs for Kolkata in all the three games they’ve played so far. The Caribbean knight can get you a lot of points on your Fantain XI.
Marcus Stoinis – The man who can reverse Bangalore’s fortunes is all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, who was available only from their last game against Rajasthan. With an unbeaten 31, he was one of the better performers for Bangalore in their loss to Ajinkya Rahane and co. He has previously impressed in the BPL, and could well replicate those performances in the Indian T20 league.
Virat Kohli – Kohli’s batting form has been a major concern for Bangalore this season. But now that Bangalore are faced with a situation similar to do-or-die, a hungrier than ever Kohli will look to pile up runs and take his team home.
Yuzvendra Chahal – Bangalore’s best bowler this season, Chahal grabbed four wickets in the last game played at the Chinnaswamy stadium. He has been taking wickets consistently and can earn you points on your Fantain XI.
Chris Lynn – Chris Lynn has not performed up to expectations as yet. The opening batsman, who has the capability of scoring quick runs at the top with his big hitting, can be expected to make the most of Chinnaswamy’s small outfield.
