India’s fixtures in World Cup 2015: All eyes would be on India as they will look to defend their world cup title on the green, juicy and bouncy pitches of Australia And New Zealand. Yes the Indians have been playing some good cricket in the past couple of months and would like to continue with it and on their way to defend their title. So here is how their way to the title will be, the matches that will lead them to the knockout’s.

India is in Pool B and will play their opening and fourth match of the World Cup 2015 against
their arch rivals Pakistan on a Super Sunday. The Indian team has always in world cups especially have had the better of Pakistan and never have allowed their neighbors to get away with a win. This time round as well both teams will fight it out India to maintain their streak and Pak for a change would love to beat India and make their chances stronger. 1st Match India vs Pakistan at Adelaide (February 15)

After a gap of one week India will play the tough, challenging and a balanced squad of South Africa also known as the Chokers. South Africa can be considered the biggest threat, or the strongest opponent that India have in their pool. And it will need a very clinical and professional effort from the men in blue to beat the proteas in conditions that suit them.

2nd Match India vs South Africa at Melbourne (February 22)

After their match with protoseas India will face of the United Arab Emirates team. This would be a lighter affair for India who will arrive here after having faced Pakistan and South Africa, kind of breather for the team. But of course its a world cup game and not worth taking lightly.

3rd Match India vs United Arab Emirates at Perth (February 28)

After their third match and about a week’s gap Indian will go against the Caribbean, West Indies. The West Indies will try to sort issues other than cricket out and focus on cricket. If they can get their balance and thinking right West Indies are a side worth beating even for India for that matter.

4th Match India vs West Indies at Perth (March 6)

Only after 4 days from their encounter with the West Indies, India is set to face Ireland, the team that stunned England the last time. Though not regular feature in the international circuit Ireland cannot be taken lightly. On their day the team can definitely push above their wait and India would not like to take chances in their world cup journey.

5th Match India vs Ireland at Hamilton (March 10)

In their league match India will face off Zimbabwe. This would be another game which India would like to cash in and earn some good rating numbers along with just the points. (Also read India’s Probable squad)

6th Match India vs Zimbabwe at Auckland (March 14)

Note:- All the league matches that are mentioned above are day-night.

While everyone expects India to go to Knockouts, their position in their group will decide which team they will face off in Knockout Stage of the 2015 World Cup.
