West Indian batsman Darren Bravo wants to make the most of the opportunity he has got in his maiden IPL outing with two times champion Kolkata Knight Riders. Bravo in the West Indies plays for Shah Rukh Khan owned Trinbago Knight Riders in the Carribean Premier League, and is hopeful of making a mark in the CPL team’s Indian counterpart as well.

Bravo suffered an injury while training with the team but has fully recovered from it. Speaking at a sponsor’s event, he spoke about the IPL, CPL and KKR.

“By all means, the IPL is the No. 1 T20 competition in the world. I think I am very privileged to be part of the KKR team. KKR is the owner of CPL team (Trinbago Knight Riders), so for me it’s like a family and coming back home.”

On the other hand, team’s vice-captain Surya Kumar Yadav emphasized that the team is looking to add a third star on the jersey by win third title. If they do, they will be the first IPL franchises to have won the trophy thrice.

“We have two stars on our shirt and hopefully will add a third giving you all reason to celebrate,” the 26-year old Mumbai batsman said.

Also present at the event was Manish Pandey, who wants to make the most of IPL in order to be noticed by the selectors for the upcoming Champions Trophy in June.

“IPL will be a good platform for me to get back into reckoning for India ahead of the Champions Trophy. At the moment I am focussing on IPL and doing well for the team.”

The Knight Riders will begin their campaign against the Gujarat Lions on April 07 at Rajkot, after which they play the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede on 10th.
