Mumbai Indians registered their 4th successive win in IPL 2017 with a 6-wicket win over the Gujarat Lions at the Wankhede Stadium today. Gujarat Lions’ total of 176 after been put to bat wasn’t enough for them to avoid their 3rd loss in 4 games this season. A fifty from Nitish Rana along with contributions from Pollard and the MI skipper Rohit Sharma who fired for the first time this season won the game for the home side. 3 – Number of wins for first batting teams at Wankhede in Twenty20 cricket since 2016. Mumbai Indians’ win in this game is the 25th win by 2nd batting team out of the 28 T20s since 2016.

4 – Number of times including this game Jason Roy has batted at No.4 or lower position in Twenty20 cricket. Last such occasion came in BPL 2012.

5 – Number of times Harbhajan Singh has dismissed Suresh Raina in IPL, the most number of times Raina got dismissed by any bowler in IPL. Dwayne Bravo and Piyush Chawla got Raina 4 times each.

25 – Number of times Dwayne Smith bagged a duck in Twenty20 cricket, the most by any player. He went past Umar Akmal who has 24 ducks in this format.

51 – Runs conceded by Lasith Malinga in this game, the most by him in an IPL game. Previous most was 45 runs vs CSK in 2013.

95 – Number of wins in Twenty20 cricket for Mumbai Indians, the most win for any team in this format. They went past Chennai Super Kings who have 94 T20 wins.

707 – Runs scored by Suresh Raina vs Mumbai Indians in IPL. It is only the 3rd instance of a player scoring 700+ runs against a single opposition in IPL. Chris Gayle has 797 runs vs KXIP while Virat Kohli scored 706 vs CSK.

1007 – Number of dot balls bowled by Harbhajan Singh in IPL so far. He became the 2nd player to deliver 1000 dots in IPL after Praveen Kumar.

1130 – Partnership runs between Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard pair in IPL, the most by any pair in IPL for Mumbai Indians. They went past 1122 runs between Rohit and Ambati Rayudu pair.

2013 – Last time Munaf Patel featured in an IPL game was way back in 2013 in Qualifier 1 for MI vs CSK. He picked up Jos Buttler’s wicket in this match.
