Delhi Daredevils gave a tough competition in collective batting collapses to the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL season as they were bundled out for just 67 runs at the PCA Stadium, Mohali against the home side Kings XI Punjab. Karun Nair, who took over the captaincy duties from the Zaheer Khan in this game, didn’t have a great start as his side displayed one of their poorest performances with the bat.

The Kings XI Punjab ensured they used the game to improve their net run rate to the maximum extent as they finished the chase by 8th over. Here are all the statistical highlights of the one-sided affair.

7 – Number of times Delhi Daredevils have been bowled out under 100 in the IPL, the most times by any team. MI, RCB and RR have been dismissed under 100 on 4 occasions each.

8 – Number of international games Karun Nair has played before leading an IPL side, the fewest for any player. Previously Aaron Finch led Pune Warriors after playing just 13 internationals.

10 – Number of captains Delhi Daredevils have had in the IPL so far, the joint-most number of captains for any team. Kings XI Punjab also have had 10 captains in the IPL so far.

10 – Kings XI Punjab’s 10-wicket win is their first in the IPL and the 10th 10-wicket victory for by any team in the IPL and the 2nd in this season. This is the 2nd 10-wicket win for a team over Delhi Daredevils as RCB defeated them by the same margin in 2015.

67 – Delhi Daredevils’ total of 67 is the joint 3rd lowest for any team in the IPL and the joint lowest by any team while batting first. This is also the lowest score by DD and the lowest by any team against KXIP in the IPL.

68 – Kings XI Punjab’s total of 68 is the lowest score to include a fifty in the IPL. Martin Guptill scored 50* out of KXIP’s 68/0. Previous lowest total with a fifty in IPL is 96/9 by RCB vs RPS yesterday.

73 – Balls remaining in the Kings XI Punjab’s innings when they reached the target, the 3rd biggest winning margin in the IPL with balls to spare. MI defeated KKR with 87 balls to spare in 2008 while KTK defeated RR in 2011 by 76 balls to spare.

73.53 – Percentage of KXIP’s total scored by Martin Guptill in this game, the highest percentage of runs scored by a batsman in an IPL innings. Previous highest is 72.15 by Sanath Jayasuriya who scored 114* out of MI’s total of 158/1 vs CSK in 2008.
