Two of the most popular WWE superstars, the Big E and Kofi Kingston, made their appearance count on the pre-match show Extraaa Innings T20. They came to the studios prior to the game between Delhi Daredevils and the Gujarat Lions. The former tag team champions who formed the ‘New Team’ in the popular WWE show were seen having fun at the sets.

Before arriving in the show, they had expressed their excitement on being the part of the show. The Big E remarked that he hails from the Caribbean Island and hence knows how big the tournament of IPL is at the global level. He looked eager to experience the frenzy in the cricket crazy nation like India. He further pointed out that he has done his homework before arriving in India.

“We are really excited to be part of such a huge phenomenon like the IPL. Cricket is a very big deal in this country and we are very happy to be part of that fanfare. My father is from Jamaica, and as a young man he played a lot of cricket. I have heard a lot of stories about the game and it will be great to experience the sport in India,” quoted the Big E prior to the pre-match show as per the quotes in Hindustan Times.

“I know IPL is a huge tournament and that Mumbai Indians are performing really well right now. So, I have my bases covered,” he added further.

Meanwhile, Kofi Kingston spoke about the fan following that WWE and cricket has in India. He noted that the last time they were in India for the tour, they were overwhelmed by the fan support that they got.

“The crowd experience last year was absolutely phenomenal. The response was brilliant and it was something to cherish for all of us,” said Kofi Kingston.
