It will be the final group match of IPL 10 when Delhi Daredevils meet Royal Challengers at the Feroz Shah Kotla today in the 2nd match of the double header on Super Sunday. Exactly a year ago, these two teams were fighting it out in the final group game of IPL 9 and the stakes were high as a victory would have helped both the teams to qualify for the playoffs but we know how things change and now both have nothing to play for with only pride at stake.

Among these two teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore have been the one who has been deprived of a victory for a long time. They have been outclassed in all 3 departments of the game and their captain Virat Kohli has been left scratching head in every post-match presentation. They haven’t found an answer to their woes and despite having arguably the best batting line-up in the tournament they have failed on several occasions.

Their bowling department hasn’t fired either with most of their star bowlers going for plenty. The 12.5 crores bowler Tymal Mills has failed to realise his potential and midway through injury has played a spoilsport but he will definitely look to make a comeback in their final match of the campaign. Virat Kohli will too look to get back to some run-scoring form ahead of the Champions Trophy title defence in few days time.

On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils have played some good cricket in the last couple of games but have been the most unpredictable team in the tournament. While they have been bowled out for 67 and 69, the talented unit has also chased down 208 within 17 overs. They have serious bunch of youngsters who are filled with talent but haven’t been consistent enough which have added to their woes.

Despite having a great bowling line-up they have failed to gel as a bowling unit and have leaked runs. Captain Zaheer Khan hasn’t been in his best which has shrugged off in his teammates. With another season done and dusted, the underachievers of the tournament will surely look to finish their campaign on a winning note and salvage some lost pride. So with 15 hours to go for the tournament to commence let us have a look at the match predictions

Here is what Crictracker predicts for the game:

Scenario 1: DD will win the toss

Toss Prediction: DD will choose to bowl

First innings prediction: 150-160

2nd innings Prediction: DD will win by 5 wickets (with am over to spare)

Scenario 2: RCB will win the toss

2nd innings Prediction: DD will win by 35-40 runs

Head to Head Record

Overall: Total Matches –18, RCB Won – 11, DD Won – 6, No Result- 1

Given their horrendous run, Delhi will start as clear favourites tomorrow but in the earlier match of the tournament between the two teams, Bangalore emerged victorious but the situation isn’t the same now. Bangalore have a better head to head record against Delhi with 11-6 win-loss ratio while one match was abandoned.

Team Combinations

Delhi Daredevils

The underachievers have spoiled the party of some teams in the past but tomorrow it will be an inconsequential match with both teams already out of the tournament for a while. With a couple of wins under their belt, Delhi is unexpected to tinker with their winning combination and will look to the end the season on a high.

Predicted XI: Sanju Samson, Karun Nair, Rishabh Pant, Marlon Samuels, Shreyas Iyer, Corey Anderson, Carlos Brathwaite, Pat Cummins, Amit Mishra, Mohammed Shami, Zaheer Khan (c)

Royal Challengers Bangalore

With nothing at stake, Bangalore might spring in a few changes.Tymal Mills will look to get a game and finish his Indian vigil on a high. He was disappointed with his performance and hoped to finish on a high tomorrow if he gets an opportunity. Chris Gayle who has been lacklustre so far might make a return while Harpreet Singh might take the place of Sachin Baby.

Predicted XI: Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli (c), Mandeep Singh, Travis Head, Sachin Baby/Harpreet Singh, Kedar Jadhav (wk), Pawan Negi, Aniket Choudhary, Tabraiz Shamsi/Samuel Badree, Yuzvendra Chahal, Billy Stanlake/Tymal Mills

DD will start as clear favourites in the final game of the group stage in IPL 10 against a below par RCB who have lost 10 out of the 13 matches played so far.
