IPL has been a great platform for the youngsters over the years to prove their mettle. The tagline on the trophy of the prestigious tournament also says ‘Where Talent Meets Opportunity’. There have been numerous players not only from India but also overseas who went on to play for their national sides after doing well in IPL. This season has been no different but interestingly, the Indian players who have done well are either considered future superstars or have been knocking the doors of Indian national team for quite some time.

The 22-year-old Sanju Samson smashed a brilliant century, the first of the season while playing for Delhi Daredevils against Supergiant. He scored 102 runs off just 63 balls that gave his team the first win of the season. Nitish Rana has played a couple of good innings for Mumbai Indians and has emerged as the surprise player of the season. Kedar Jadhav played a superb innings of 69 off 37 balls for Royal Challengers against Daredevils. Although he is not as young as Samson or Rana, still the Indian cricket is yet to see the best of him.

Rishabh Pant played a marvelous knock of 57 for Daredevils against Royal Challengers and almost pulled off a stunning victory. Manish Pandey was the other who scored an emphatic 81 off 47 for Knight Riders against Mumbai. Where the big guns of Indian cricket like Rohit Sharma have been kept quiet, it’s the second line of defense that has stood up which comes as a great news for India.
