Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been missing their gun player AB de Villiers in the last couple of games in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). He was down with a viral fever and didn’t play against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI). While it goes without saying that the team missed him badly in the batting line-up, but they managed to pull off a sensational victory in their previous encounter. However, De Villiers is fit again and set to make his comeback against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

He has been in great form this season and has torn apart the bowling attacks with his batting. The Superman from South Africa has scored 280 runs in 6 outings with a jaw-dropping strike-rate of 184.21 and an amazing average of 56. It is important for RCB that he continues in the same vein after making a comeback to the playing XI. It will also be interesting to see whom he will replace in the team which won the last match against Mumbai.

ABD confirms news on his app

AB de Villiers himself informed his fans about the news on his official app. He was delighted to be back on his feet after being handicapped with a viral fever last week.

“I am finally feeling like a human again. I picked up a horrible virus that kept me in bed for 4 days. I am finally up on my feet again. Unfortunately, I missed two games for RCB which is not ideal. Like I said I am feeling a lot better and hoping I do get picked in the next game but I am close to 100 percent and I will definitely ready to go come the next game against CSK in Pune which is a very big aim for us,” he said.

RCB are in a situation from where they are needed to win almost every game and the return of De Villiers will surely boost their chances.
