Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been one of the most celebrated teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They have the charismatic MS Dhoni as their skipper and have garnered a significant fan-base over the years. CSK are one of the most successful teams in the tournament having qualified for the top four every time under the leadership of Dhoni who is popularly referred to as ‘Thala’ by his fans.

They were handed a two-year suspension following involvement in betting and other undesired scandals. However, they have made a stupendous comeback and are currently holding the top position in the league table with five resounding victories in six games. The game which they lost against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, also went right down to the wire.

They found themselves in trouble when RCB notched a mammoth score on the board. They slumped further after losing quick wickets, but there was a certain batsman by the MS Dhoni who guided them to victory.

Subsequently, appreciations poured in for Dhoni on Twitter. Dhoni’s presence has been a massive factor in the popularity of the franchise.
