Once AB de Villiers made it clear that there is no future for him in the International arena, people were shell-shocked and confused as well. While it was widely expected that the right-handed batsman would continue on till the end of the World Cup in England in the year 2019.
However, ABD has made it clear that he would continue to play T20, in the domestic arena with both the South African T20 league as well as the Indian Premier League. Following ABD’s decision to play T20 leagues around the world, Australian cricketer Chris Lynn has a possible destination for the South African.
Australian opener Chris Lynn, who is currently plying his trade for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, has suggested the possible destination for the right-hander to ply his trade in Australia.
Lynn’s 2018 IPL has been blowing hot and cold, with the right-hander scoring many valuable runs for his franchise, while also missing out on the prime starts while his partner Sunil Narine has been bashing the ball.
Brisbane Heat calling for AB de Villiers?
The Australian right-handed player, who plays for the Brisbane Heats in the KFC Big Bash league wants his franchise to rope in the South African player to the team. He believes that ABD would be the best pick for the No.3 slot in the team, and that would take the heats closer to the title.
“Want to bat 3 for the @HeatBBL @ABdeVilliers17 🤔 I know a bloke… 🙏” tweeted Lynn, early in the morning on the 24th from Kolkata.

Tough task ahead for KKR:
Up ahead for Chris Lynn would be the tough test of the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers, who are in red-hot form following their opening over massacre against Chennai Super Kings. Lynn would be hoping that the pitch does not have much to offer for Sunrisers seam bowlers.
While Sunrisers not only have a good new-ball attack, they also possess the mystery spinner in the form of the Afghan leggie Rashid Khan. The Afghan leggie has caused havoc in the league, with his flippers, leg-spinners and the googly.
The likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, who are arguably the best players of spin have struggled against the Afghan leggie. It would be a tough task for the Kolkata Knight Riders batsmen to keep Rashid Khan at the bay.
