The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been one of the most formidable teams in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They have racked up 8 victories in 10 matches and are at the top of the points table. They have stumbled earlier in the tournament against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), but haven’t allowed the defeats to unnerve them.
They were considered to possess a lethal bowling attack and they haven’t done their reputation any harm whatsoever as the event has progressed. The likes of Siddarth Kaul, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan have been exceptional with the leather because of which they haven’t stuttered at any stage of the cash-rich T20 extravaganza.
Meanwhile, their batsmen have also ensured that they back the stupendous performances by the bowlers. Kane Williamson has been exceptional with the willow and has also led the team from the front. Recently, Danielle Wyatt, the English woman prodigy, was asked about the probable winner of the team and she replied with Sunrisers Hyderabad, which is definitely a possibility.

The English batswoman’s admiration for Virat Kohli is an open secret and quite expectantly she rooted for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) prior to the tournament. However, the franchise has been awful and haven’t garnered any sort of momentum in the league thus far. They have done many chops and changes, but have struggled in every aspect and subsequently, have been found wanting.
As the tournament inches closer to the playoffs, the strong contenders for qualifying have more or less been revealed. Therefore, Wyatt must be aware of the status of both SRH and RCB as far as moving into the top four is concerned. While Williamson’s boys are all but through to the playoffs, Virat’s men still have an outside chance to defy the odds and arrest their slump.
