Former Aussie cricketer Dean Jones is rooting for the Sunrisers Hyderabad to go and win the final on Sunday and he has a few valid reasons to go with it. Sunrisers have been outstanding thus far and they need to cross one final hurdle to lay their hands on the trophy for the second time in their history.

It’s going to a cracking finale to round off what has been a sensational IPL. Big hits, sensational catches, some awful drops and a few jaw-dropping dramatic moments, this season had everything in it to entertain the fans. But Dean Jones rated one of Star Sports’ hosts as the biggest star of this IPL season.

No prizes for guessing who it is, it’s Mayanti Langer. An astute reader of the game and someone who has been around for a long period, Mayanti has amassed a great fan base for herself over the years. She has done a terrific job hosting the pre-match and post-match talk shows and earned a huge compliment from the Aussie legend.

“As much as I have loved working with many of the greats on this IPL. Our BEST and BIGGEST STAR is Mayanti Langer !!! She is soooo good at her job. And all of us at Star Sports India, Kent Cricket Live & Select Dugout are in awe of how good she is! Great job Mayanti,” wrote Jones in his Tweet.

A sensational finale on cards

The two best teams this season have entered the finals, much to the delight of the cricket lovers. Whilst the Sunrisers Hyderabad enjoyed a terrific season defending low total in their own style, the Chennai Super Kings managed to chase many huge targets and make a mockery of a lot of bowling units.

It’ll be a battle of the best bowling unit vs the best batting unit on Sunday at the Wankhede, which will provide a lot of fun. We’ve seen how close a game can go between these two sides already and it’ll be interesting to see which Captain cool has the final laugh.
