Former Australian cricketer, Dean Jones has been a part of the expert panel in the IPL for a long time now and this time around, he’s been really impressed with a few young talents. Jones, who also is a coach in the Pakistan Super League, has been talking very highly of young Afghan spinner Rashid Khan.

It really has been a path-breaking season for the 19-year-old, who literally helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad defeat the Kolkata Knight Riders all by himself in the Second Qualifier a few nights ago. He’s been Kane Williamson‘s go-to weapon the entire season and whenever needed, Rashid has responded brilliantly.

Of the many adversities, their country is facing at this juncture, Rashid Khan has been one of their biggest reasons to smile. Not just his family or friends, but the entire country is watching the tournament quite keenly. Afghanistan Cricketers all came together at one place to see Rashid represent the Sunrisers and the world is in awe of their love for their countryman.

This is what cricket is all about: Dean Jones

Dean Jones rightly replied to that tweet by Karim Sadiq, mentioning this is what cricket is all about. Rashid Khan also dedicated the man of the match award from the Second Qualifier game to all the victims of the bomb blast which took place just a few days ago in Afghanistan. It’s fascinating to see all of them rooting for this young lad despite so much happening around them.

Another good performance from the Afghan stalwart will pretty much do the job for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. But for Rashid Khan, two humongous games lie ahead. Whilst the final will be momentous, he’s also looking forward to making his debut in the Test match against Afghanistan, which will take place in a few weeks time at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

He had a big price tag attached to his name, but he never failed to impress the fans nor his management. Here’s what Dean Jones tweeted watching his countrymen supporting him so unconditionally.
