IPL 2018: Delhi Daredevils schedule for the season

The 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) brings a lot of new hopes for the participating franchises. For the team that have been successful over the years, the 2018 edition is all about continuing their good run. And for the other teams like the Delhi Daredevils, this comes as an opportunity to revive their fortunes in the tournament.

The Delhi Daredevils are the only side that is yet to feature in the finals of the tournament. Also, their form in the recent editions have been far from being impressive. Amidst this backdrop, the DD think tank have put their best foot forward at the auctions this year. They have managed to bring in some quality players to their roster this season.

This includes a player like Gautam Gambhir, who has the experience of leading an IPL side to the title win on two occasions. The schedule for the IPL 2018 is released and the Daredevils are certainly looking forward to an improved showing this year.

The Daredevils will play their first match on April 8 against the Kings XI Punjab. It will be a home game for the Daredevils. Also, the match will be a day game. The iconic Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi is set to be the home ground for the Daredevils this season. They will play their first away game against the Rajasthan Royals on April 11 in Jaipur.

After their first away game in Jaipur, they will next head to Mumbai to play the defending champions Mumbai Indians on April 14. After the match against Mumbai Indians, another away game beckons for the Daredevils before they head back to Delhi to host the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The last league game of the season for the Daredevils will also be a home game, which will be played against the Mumbai Indians.
