IPL 2018: I don't want to retire now, confesses Harbhajan Singh

There was a time when Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble working in tandem would give sleepless nights to the opponents, they were that lethal. Harbhajan might be a discarded Indian cricketer right now, but he will always remain as one of the all-time greats of this country.

Harbhajan currently is representing the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and is chasing a very unique record. If Chennai wins the game today, he will become the second player after Rohit Sharma to be a part of 4 IPL winning sides. Ambati Rayudu too will fall into that category. If Sunrisers win the trophy, Yusuf Pathan will achieve the same feat.

Talking about his future and retirement plans, Harbhajan says he doesn’t want to retire right now and wishes to continue playing. He said that Yuvraj and Gambhir too are continuing for the same reason and they’ll keep playing for their fans.

I don’t want to retire now and just to want to continue playing for my fans. Same applies for Yuvraj and Gambhir also,” Harbhajan Singh said.

Bhajji feels he’s done the same once again this season and has earned himself a place for the World Cup as well. He also said that people who criticized CSK for having so many aged players have the answer in front of them.

“(MS) Dhoni has proved himself in this IPL and answered his critics. In a way, he has earned his place in the team for World Cup. Whoever questioned that CSK was a team of aged players, have their answer. Good to be in another IPL final,” He said.
