KL Rahul was the one-man army for the Kings XI Punjab this season. He was brilliant despite his side failing and shouldered most of the batting responsibility for the side. KL has scored 659 runs this year in 14 games but many of his knocks went in vain.

In the game against MI at Wankhede, KXIP were chasing 188. Kieron Pollard who was out of form for the majority of the season struck gold in this game as he scored a 50 off just 23 deliveries. Some small cameos from SKY, Ishan Kishan and Krunal Pandya ensured the team put a big total on the board.

Chasing this huge total, KXIP lost Gayle early. Aaron Finch who was looking good got out at the wrong time after he scored 46 off 35. It was KL Rahul who yet again had to face the brunt of KXIP not having a capable middle-order. He tried his level best as he scored 94 off 60 on a pitch that was slowing up quickly. He got out in the 19th over and the other batsmen didn’t have enough in them as KXIP lost a game by a mere 3 runs.
