The Chennai Super Kings made a remarkable comeback to the Indian Premier League by winning the title in style. The Sunrisers Hyderabad were no match for the high flying Super Kings as they were hammered by 8 wickets in the finals. The Yellow army silenced their critics who felt that the age group of players will backfire the team at some stage in the tournament.
MS Dhoni managed his resources well to ensure that all the players remain fit for the duration of the tournament. Harbhajan Singh was picked by the Chennai Super Kings for the 2018 season due to the experience he had in the tournament. Dhoni used him very well as Bhajji picked wickets at crucial junctures of the game. Though Bhajji was not used very often, he did not disappoint his captain whenever the skipper turned to him.
Bhajji carries his fortunes from MI to CSK
Geeta Basra, Harbhajan Singh’s wife, posted a hilarious message on Twitter that would surely make Bhajji happy. The Bollywood actress reminded everyone that whichever IPL club picks the seasoned offie, eventually happens to be the IPL champions as well. Last season, Bhajji won the title with the Mumbai Indians who eventually released him for this season. He then won the title with CSK this time and signed off another good season for him.
Basra tweeted, “What a way to end the tournament! Hard work, gruelling travelling and crazy schedules paid off.. well done @ChennaiIPL !! Proud of you all.. You said it right @harbhajan3 ‘whoever takes you takes the cup home too’ #ipl18 #chennaisuperkings

There is another interesting fact that Harbhajan was dropped from the playing XI for the finals in 2017 and 2018. He was left out for the game and was replaced by Karn Sharma on both occasions. However, this did not affect him as he was beaming with smiles after his side won the IPL title for the third time.
