Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were involved in a heart-wrenching thriller at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday. The fairytale comeback of the Men in Yellow continued as they won their second consecutive game in yet another close finish. The game was filled with emotions as the visitors were left wondering the wrong things they did during the game. However, soon after the owner of KKR Shah Rukh Khan met the wife of MS Dhoni, Sakshi, as she was seen consoling him after their first loss of the season.
After Dwayne Bravo won them the nail-biting thriller at the Wankhede Stadium, it was Sam Billings this time around who bludgeoned 56 off just 23 deliveries. CSK gunned down the target of 203 runs with one ball to spare as Andre Russell’s magical knock of 88 off just 36 balls went in vain. The home side won at their fortress once again which was even more special given the fact they were playing after 1065 days at the venue.
SRK meets Sakshi
There was no place for KKR fans in the Stadium as it was buzzing with Yellow totally and the raucous crowd was giving tough times to the visitors. Amidst all the controversies off the field, the game went ahead and the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan also witnessed to motivate his team. But as it turned out, it was a heart-break for KKR fans as the hosts clinched the nail-biter.
Shah Rukh is known to be a very nice guy and his relationship with the players is well known. After the game, even after losing, sportingly, he went to meet the wife of Dhoni, Sakshi Dhoni and hugged her. However, during the conversation, Sakshi was seen indicating SRK not to be sad only after losing one game. While the actor was laughing at her gesture as it seemed that even he realised that CSK were the deserved winners on the day.
