Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are currently on a roll in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with 3 wins after four matches. But with every passing day, the problems are increasing for them. While it was the injury to Kedar Jadhav which started everything, Suresh Raina has missed a game due to a calf injury and now Imran Tahir is set to miss the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). However, it will be interesting to see who will replace him in the side for the crucial game.

The blow is huge for the Men in Yellow as he had featured for them in all four previous matches and had scalped 4 wickets as well. Though he was expensive conceding runs at an economy of 9.07, the South African cricketer is a genuine wicket-taker and can win games with his bowling on any given day.

Who will replace him?

The CEO of CSK, KS Viswanathan, informed the official website of the franchise about the same and said, “Tahir felt uneasy when the team was on its way to Hyderabad and was taken to hospital for a check-up. He is headed to Chennai for tests and will miss today’s game.”Also, it remains to be seen if he will be available for the upcoming matches for CSK as they are playing back-to-back matches this week until 30th of April.

David Willey might come into the playing XI as his replacement who was signed by the franchise a few days ago. The left-arm pace bowler is a good prospect for the team as he can bat very well. He could be used as a floater in the batting line-up as well and it will be interesting to see if the team includes him in the XI. Even Mark Wood can come into the side as he has played a game before this season.
