IPL 2018: Irfan Pathan comes up with a hilarious tweet on Yusuf Pathan's catch

In the 39th match of the Indian Premier League 2018, it was Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, and it was very much of a do or die game for the latter. Winning the toss first and opting to bowl, they did manage to restrict SRH to a considerably much easier target of 146.

With batsmen like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers on their side, RCB always had a chance of chasing it down. And that is exactly what it would happen it seemed, or up till Kohli was at the crease. He was going off in his trademark style, and had hit 5 boundaries and 1 six when Shakib scalped him with a good length.

Yusuf changes the game

But more interesting was the catch by Yusuf Pathan. The balled seemed to be flying into his hands, as Yusuf’s towering figure at the third man leaped stretching his right hand, dismissing Kohli for 39 (30).

IPL is all about unbelievable catches, whether it is the player dodging a sixer and turning it into a catch at the boundary line or showing off some acrobat skills within the ground. Yusuf Pathan did something similar yesterday, in the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the penultimate ball of the 10th over, his leap at the third man dismissed the opponent captain and the most important wicket of RCB.

It was a great catch, but Yusuf’s brother Irfan Pathan seemed to have a funnier take on it. For Irfan, the move looked more like he was trying to pluck a mango off the tree. From his official Twitter handle, Irfan tweeted about the catch in a brotherly banter and asked – “Ye catch tha ya Aam todaa hay?? @iamyusufpathan”

With 16 points in 10 games, SRH is already in playoffs and they aim to strengthen their position on top of the table in the coming games.
