IPL 2018: KKR and Marvel's Avengers launch new merchandise

The eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be seeing the daylight tomorrow as Mumbai Indians MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lock horns at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Meanwhile, several teams are busy releasing jerseys and merchandises ahead of the mega event.
Yesterday, Rajasthan became the last team to release their outfit at an event in Jaipur. Most recently, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Marvel’s Avengers have collaborated to bring merchandises for the fans as per reports in KKR’s links. They will include t-shirts, back to school range, board games, mugs, mobile covers, card games, power-banks and many more.

The merchandises will have a combination of the design of the avengers blended with the one of the Knight Riders. Venky Mysore, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the franchise hailed their association with the consumer brand. Meanwhile, he also sounded delighted while announcing the launch of the exciting products for youngsters.
“The power of Marvel’s Avengers and the punch of the Kolkata Knight Riders will delight fans with this new range of exciting products. Sportspersons are real-life Super Heroes and we are thrilled to back this initiative that will present the synergies between our players and Marvel’s much-loved Super Heroes. Licensing & Merchandising is a focus for us, and this partnership with one of the biggest consumer products brands in the country is a step in that direction,” Venky Mysore said as quoted by Web India 123.
Moreover, the CEO also iterated their plans and their strategies to engage the fans through the goods. “It’s the 10th anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and with this collaboration, we are giving our Indian fans an amazing opportunity to experience the most celebrated sport in the country with their favourite Super Heroes” he added.
