IPL 2018: List of Windies players and their base price for the auction

The Windies are one of the most feared teams in international cricket courtesy their brand of cricket on the field. They are the reigning World Champions in the T20 format and have been thoroughly entertaining in the shortest version of the sport. The players from the Caribbean nation have also been grand successes in domestic T20 leagues for different franchises.

The likes of Christopher Henry Gayle, Dwayne Bravo are veterans of this format and are holders of several T20 records. The players have also been instrumental in the Indian Premier League ever since the tournament’s inception. The auctions for the eleventh edition of the domestic tournament will take place on January 27 and 28 in Bangalore and eyes will again be on the Windies prodigies.

Windies – The Entertainers 

There will be a total of 34 Windies players who will go under the hammer on auctions day. Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo have base prices of 200 Lakhs and are expected to again light up the auctions by attracting handsome deals. Gayle has been going through a rough patch, however, his sheer ferocity with the bat makes him one of the hottest prospects in the auctions.

There are also some players who aren’t big names but are handy cricketers. Nicholas Pooran, Andre Fletcher and Kevon Cooper have performed consistently enough to be deemed as reliable cricketers in T20 cricket. Also, they have experienced campaigners like Marlon Samuels, Darren Sammy who have been integral elements of a side in T20 cricket.

Kesrick Williams has featured among the top-wicket takers in 2017 in T20Is for the Windies. He has also been instrumental with the ball in the Caribbean Premier League, playing for the Jamaica Tallawahs. Moreover, the list has young pacers like Roston Beaton, Sheldon Cottrell. Last but not the least, the list features ‘Remember the Name’ fame Carlos Braithwaite.
