IPL 2018, Match 11: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals – 10 best memes/gifs

It was absolute carnage at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Match 11 of this year’s IPL as more than 400 runs were scored with the batsmen feasting on two below par bowling attacks in action and smashing the white ball into the orbit continuously right through the match. It was also only the second game in the tourney where the team batting first managed to end up on the winning side.

While there were a couple of big power hitters in the Rajasthan Royals squad who were batting first, it was actually the classy and stylish Sanju Samson who stole the show as the young wicketkeeper-batsman from Kerala came into his own and played some of the extraordinary cricket shots that one can ever get to see.

The 23-year old hardly ever slogged. All his shots came right out of the textbook. He just went aerial and hit them clean and showed how T20 cricket can be played in an orthodox manner as well. He was also helped by the RCB bowlers, Umesh Yadav in particular, who time and again dished out length deliveries to him and with the altitude and dimensions of Chinnaswamy and the kind of mood Samson was in, they were never going to be spared.

RCB, during the chase, fought to some extent as Virat Kohli got into his beast mode and smacked his first half-century in IPL 11, but once he was caught on the boundary off Shreyas Gopal trying to deposit a half-tracker into the stands, the game was as good as over for RCB. Rajasthan Royals thankfully got AB de Villiers cheaply as well to put the final nail in the coffin.

The RCB fans came for some brutal trolling after the result of the game went wrong as twitter dished out memes making fun of their bowlers.
