IPL 2018, Match 24: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings – 10 best memes/gifs

It was just another day at the office for Royal Challengers Bangalore as their bowlers let them down again after a heroic batting performance from AB de Villiers which saw them post a total of more than 200 on the board batting first against CSK in match 24 of the Indian Premier League 2018.

RCB actually made a terrific start with the ball too in the second innings and got CSK 59 for 3 at one stage. Yuzvendra Chahal was getting the ball to grip and turn and Umesh Yadav was bowling some serious pace from the other end as the target looked all but impossible for CSK from there.

But eventually, the same old problem came to the fore for the hosts, their lack of depth in the bowling department, especially their death bowling resources. As the game went deep and MS Dhoni started nailing those big shots, they had no clue where to go.

To CSK’s credit, they never panicked. While the required run rate was always hovering 12-13, they knew it’s about playing the odds and targeting the weak links in the RCB attack and there were plenty of them. Once Chahal and Yadav were finished, it was way too easy for MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu as they toyed with the likes of Corey Anderson, Pawan Negi and Mohammed Siraj, the other bowling options RCB had.

With 16 needed off the last over, CSK were the favourites and MS Dhoni, cool as always, got the job done with a gigantic six over the cow corner. The crowd gathered at Chinnaswamy was left shell-shocked again and so were the RCB fans on Twitter as they didn’t foresee this defeat coming after CSK were reduced to 59 for 3.
