Chennai Super Kings were quick in bouncing back from a defeat as they moved on to top of the table with a 13-run win against the Daredevils. The home side posted a big total of 211/4 on the board with a century opening stand between Shane Watson (78) and Faf du Plessis (33) that was followed by a 36-ball 79-run stand between MS Dhoni (51) and Ambati Rayudu (41). Rishabh Pant and Vijay Shankar fighting knocks could only take Delhi Daredevils’ total to 198/5.
