Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face the rejuvenated Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the match 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Monday. The Men in Yellow are looking to adjust to the conditions in their new home Pune and are coming off a loss at the hands of Mumbai Indians (MI) at the same venue. While the visitors are riding high on confidence under their new skipper Shreyas Iyer after thumping KKR at home. However, they will have to be at their best to get past CSK as they can haunt them at any stage of the game.

It is like a norm for MS Dhoni and his men that their key players are getting injured in the middle of the season. Deepak Chahar didn’t bowl his full quota of overs in the last game and has been ruled out of the action for the next two weeks. They will have to change the team combination a little bit as CSK doesn’t have a proper pace replacement in their Indian contingent. The table toppers seem to be relaxed right now and the current situation is not new for them.

Delhi played like a champion team the other day against KKR as their new skipper led from the front with the bat and then the bowlers were spot on with their execution. It seems that the decision of Gautam Gambhir to drop himself is working wonders as the opening conundrum also looks solved with the inclusion of Colin Munro and Prithvi Shaw. But they have to make sure the team continues in the same vein as they have fallen too far behind compared to other teams.

CSK will have to rethink their strategy again as they don’t have a decent Indian bowler to replace Deepak Chahar. In that case, David Willey could come in with Imran Tahir making way for him. Also, Sam Billings might miss out to accommodate Faf du Plessis at the top of the order as Rayudu can play in the middle order to tackle the middle overs. With the lack of wrist spinner, Karn Sharma should also be included in the playing XI as the Men in Yellow would look to come back to the winning ways.

Delhi Daredevils

Daredevils have found their best combination of the tournament after taking some hard decisions. Colin Munro looks to be in good form in his second coming this season as Prithvi Shaw has also shined. The skipper Iyer and Rishabh Pant are in blazing touch as well. Glenn Maxwell has underperformed so far significantly but he has compensated it with the ball. The bowling attack has a venomous look with Trent Boult and Liam Plunkett leading from the front and the youngster Avesh Khan has also impressed.

There is a lot of talent in this kid. After winning the World Cup at the U19 level, Prithvi Shaw has taken the IPL by storm and his 62-run knock proved that he is here to stay. Some of his shots absolutely replicated the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar of his early days. He showed his class as well by smashing Mitchell Johnson out of the park. He needs to keep his heads high and be consistent at this level to impress the selectors who will be having an eye on his performances this season.
