A wait of 1065 days for an IPL game came to an end for the fans in Chennai as they witnessed a spectacular game of T20 cricket played between the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. The home side successfully chased 204 with help of small contributions to thump down Andre Russell’s blitz. The Windies all-rounder was the reason behind making the game a high-scorer as he struck 11 sixes in the 36 balls he faced to score 88*.
His knock powered KKR to finish with 203/6 after they were five down for 123 at end of the 15th over. Andre Russell’s performances in the game got a superlative value of 1.03 crores according to CricTracker’s player value algorithm. Curran was valued at 22.5 lakhs helping him to multiply his average match salary by 3.15 times. Suresh Raina, who suffered cramps in the game, multiplied his average match salary by only 0.134.
