The Indian Premier League (IPL) has well and truly began as all the eight teams have played a game now after three days of intriguing action. The action now shifts to South India with MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai set to host the game between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The Men in Yellow will be playing in front of their home crowd. However, the humid weather in the State is set to welcome the teams this game amidst Cauvery water row being the point of discussion.

MS Dhoni-led side is on a high after their morale-boosting win over the defending champions in the first match of the tournament. Similarly, the new skipper Dinesh Karthik has begun his stint at the helm with an impressive victory over the star-studded RCB side. It will be one heck of a contest as both the sides are filled with superstars in the shortest format of the game.

How’s the climate?

According to Accu Weather, the climate in Chennai currently sunny and absolutely pleasant. The temperature of 34 Degree Celsius will only go down in the lead up to the match. At the same time, the humidity touches sky high in the city which is set to dehydrate the players. There should be no surprise if the players in the middle take frequent breaks in order to recollect their thoughts. The weather is set to be clear for the duration of the game.

The only issue for the foreign players especially would be the humidity which will be around 80% throughout the course of action of four hours. Though that should not stop them from playing their best cricket being professionals. KKR will surely not feel at home as Chennai supporters will make life difficult for them. There are no chances of rain whatsoever during the match.

Overall verdict: Apart from humidity and the controversy in Chennai, the crowd is set to enjoy 40 overs of action which will be highly entertaining.
