Despite a mediocre season, the Royal Challengers Bangalore did enough to stay alive in the playoffs race in the final week of the league stage matches. Their big win over the Kings XI Punjab on Monday boosted their NRR which is the 2nd best among the five teams fighting for the two spots. They will now face the table-toppers- Sunrisers Hyderabad against whom they lost by a mere five runs in the away fixture. SRH have already confirmed their top two finish and might try to test their bench which can benefit RCB’s chances.
