The match doesn't have any significance as far as qualification for the playoffs is concerned.

The fate of both the Delhi Daredevils (DD) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been sealed in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hence, the contest between the teams at the Feroz Shah Kotla is nothing, but a dead rubber. However, the MS Dhoni-captained have some work to do before they cement their place in the top two positions of the points table.
Albeit chances are minimum, but statistically, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) can push them down to the number three slot. CSK haven’t been at their very best in the second leg of the tournament, especially in the bowling department where they have been found wanting. Their batting has been stupendous and is one of the primary reasons why the franchise have ensured qualification.
On the contrary, the Daredevils are set to finish as the cellar dweller of the tournament. Their fortunes somewhat changed following Shreyas Iyer’s appointment as the skipper, but they couldn’t get their campaign back on track. The franchise will be playing for pride, but Chennai will be hoping to end the league stage on a high before they move into the crunch matches.
No rain during match-time
There aren’t any chances of rain throughout the duration of the match i.e. approximately from 8 pm to 12 am. Nevertheless, in the afternoon the heavens have a fair chance of opening up as the percentages of rain are pretty high from 1 pm to 3 pm and the same may persist until 6 pm. Therefore, the groundsmen need to be ready and protect the outfield from the rain.
The temperature is expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius during the match. The dew point is also on the higher side and the team batting second is speculated to have the advantage.
