With the Indian Premier League (IPL) just a couple of weeks away from kick-start the excitement levels are only going high. One of the greatest clubs in cricket history perhaps, the Chennai Super Kings is back in the tournament after serving a two-year ban. Their return is set to be a huge boost for the whole tournament.

Legendary Indian cricketer MS Dhoni is all set to lead the CSK contingent for the 11th edition. He was rested for the Nidahas Trophy and in his place, Dinesh Karthik took charge behind the stumps. After getting a decent amount of rest, Dhoni is back on the training terrain and just like he always does, he was parking the balls outside the stadium during the nets sessions.

Chennai Super Kings’ official Twitter handle posted a video of the former Indian skipper launching a huge six from the nets. His addition in the training program is a huge boost for all the youngsters, who can spend some extra time with the man who led India to three different ICC trophies. Dhoni handed over the captaincy duties last year to Steve Smith at the Rising Pune Supergiant, a call which proved to be a masterstroke. But now, he’s back to where he belongs!

Here’s the Tweet posted by CSK’s official twitter handle.

Can they win their third title?

This probably is the biggest conundrum, but no can rule out the chances. They look well-balanced with a good mixture of experience and youth. They have the likes of Dwayne Bravo, South African skipper Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, Shane Watson, Ravindra Jadeja, and of course, the IPL legend Suresh Raina. They roped in some exciting talents like Imran Tahir, Kedar Jadhav, Lungi Ngidi, Karn Sharma, and Shardul Thakur.

One of the major signings of this season for the South Indian franchise was Harbhajan Singh, who represented Mumbai Indians for 10-long years. After losing Ravichandran Ashwin in the auction, they had to find a direct replacement for him and they found Bhajji as the best alternative. It’ll be exciting to see how he collaborates with Karn Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja this season.
