Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans were taken aback after knowing that their most loved cricketer and skipper MS Dhoni missed the practice session. His back was in the bad shape in the last game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) when he almost won them the game with the 79-run knock. Moreover, the absence of Suresh Raina was also a blow to the team. However, in a delighting news for everyone, Dhoni is back playing in the nets and will play against Rajasthan Royals.

CSK will play at their adopted home venue from their next game in Pune at MCA International Stadium. Though Dhoni will feel like it is a second home for him as he featured for Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) at the same venue in the last couple of years. It will be interesting to see the way the Men in Yellow will be supported by their fans. Moreover, the prospect of 1000 fans from Chennai coming over for the game to Pune from a special train courtesy the CSK franchise is brilliant and they will be excited.

CSK confirms the news

The official Twitter handle of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) confirmed the news by posting the picture of MS Dhoni back playing his shots in the nets. It seems that the 4-day break has worked for him and he will lead his team against Royals at their new adopted home. CSK captioned the image as, “Dear #WhistlePoduExpress, this is for you! #Yellove

The die-hard fans of CSK would now feel that the team owns their new venue and play some fantastic cricket to qualify for the playoffs. They are the only team to qualify for the knockouts in every season they’ve played and the record is on the line this year.
