IPL 2018: Ranveer Singh in awe of Dinesh Karthik's mind-boggling effort

Dinesh Karthik has received a priceless compliment from one of the most celebrated and revered artists in Bollywood right now, Ranveer Singh. Ranveer, as many know, is an ardent follower of the gentleman’s game and he’s quite vocal during the IPL season. He supports the Mumbai Indians but was in awe of Karthik’s incredible effort to dismiss Ajinkya Rahane.

The Rajasthan Royals were romping out of sight with Rahane stroking some brilliant boundaries. He had smashed Karthik’s main bowler Sunil Narine for 4 fours and Rajasthan were cruising towards a huge total. Karthik had turned to his dark horse Nitish Rana to provide a breakthrough and just the did against the RCB, he got a big fish.

Rahane danced down the wicket and was beaten by the extra pace. The ball ricocheted off his pad and fell a little away to Karthik’s left. He was quick to pounce on the ball and from an awkward position, he threw the ball on the stumps and Rahane failed to get back. It was a brilliant effort from the KKR skipper, leading the side from the front.

Ranveer was thoroughly impressed with that Karthik’s effort, which was termed a run-out by the scorers. “That Rahane run out/stumping tho! superb work from Dinesh Karthik to get an important dismissal,” Ranveer wrote on his Twitter handle.
