Veteran Indian speedster Umesh Yadav has found a new team in the Indian Premier League. At the IPL 2018 auctions, the premier Indian pacer was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The RCB camp shelled out a whopping INR 4.8 crore to get the services of the Vidarbha express. Soon after the RCB team bought Umesh, the fiery speedster took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his excitement over the same.

In the previous editions, Umesh Yadav was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders. In the previous edition of the tournament, he was one of the key members of the KKR camp. His pace and precision with the new ball yielded rich benefits for the KKR team. And now, he would be looking forward for similar contributions for the RCB camp, who have perennially felt the absence of quality bowlers in their side.

Interestingly, the RCB think tank have picked quite a lot of bowlers from the KKR pool camp of the previous edition. Umesh is just one of those many beneficiaries. Coming to the pace bowler, Umesh exclaimed that he had great memories whilst playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders. He thanked the KKR team for the memories that he has for his association with the camp.

Speaking further on the same note, he expressed his excitement over starting off a new beginning with the Royal Challengers Bangalore. For the numbers, Umesh has played 94 matches in the history of the Indian Premier League. He has scalped 91 wickets with a strike rate of 21.25. He bowls with an average of 29.74 and has a best of 4/24. The pace bowler is currently with the Indian national side in South Africa. He was unfortunate to have not been picked in any of the three Tests that team India played in the recently concluded Test series.

Here is what Umesh Yadav tweeted:

“Have had great memories with @KKRiders over the last four years. Thank you KKR. Time to start a new journey with @RCBTweets. Let’s do this #PlayBold,” Umesh Yadav tweeted.
