The Mumbai Indians have had a very disappointing start to the IPL this year. They lost all the three games that they have played thus far. Also, they stand at the bottom of the points table at the moment. What is more disappointing for the team is that the margin with which team lost these games. Two out of these three games went down till the last ball while the other was finished in the last second ball. Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Delhi Daredevils triumphed over the defending champions in these games.

It was always about one or two players that stood in between a win for MI. Furthermore, the fans didn’t expect such a start from the team who have put up a good squad together. But, the Mumbai Indians are often known to be slow-starters in the IPL. They’ll be hoping to turn tables around quickly as it is not possible to have a miracle turnaround every time.

Rohit Sharma disappointed with the results

Skipper Rohit Sharma who tasted some great success with the franchise had an off-season till now. He failed to provide the team with good starts as an opener. Although he came out to bat in the middle-order in the last game, he failed miserably as MI only managed to get 36 off the last 5 overs. But, he seems to be positive about a strong comeback.

In a tweet, he stated that he was disappointed with the results. Furthermore, he applauded Jason Roy and Rishab Pant for their innings against his team. He stated that good cricket had to be applauded. It is really heartening to see Rohit praise the opposition for the good show and is an example of great sportsmanship.

“Disappointing result yesterday but we will do everything we can as a team to come back stronger. @JasonRoy20 and @RishabPant777 were just too good. Good cricket has to be applauded,” Mumbai Indians skipper wrote in his tweet.
