The Black Cap was listed in the IPL auction for INR 75 lakhs last time. Nevertheless, he remained unsold, much to his agony. He proved his credentials by becoming the leading run scorer in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), playing for defending champions Islamabad United. The right-hander notched 435 runs in 11 matches at a healthy average of 43.50 and a jaw-dropping strike-rate of 182.

Ronchi followed it up with some useful knocks for Kabul Zwanan, the runners-up of the inaugural Afghanistan Premier League (APL). The 37-year-old is currently playing for Punjabi Legends in the T10 League. The wicketkeeper-batsman may not have on his side, but as far as wielding magic on the cricket pitch is concerned, Ronchi can still compete against the best in the business.
