IPL 2019: ‘Fit’ MS Dhoni smacks the ball out of the nets ahead of RCB clash
Dhoni returning will be a massive boost to CSK.

MS Dhoni missed the game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) a couple of days ago due to a back spasm. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was led by Suresh Raina as the Men in Yellow went down meekly on a slow Hyderabad track. Dhoni was badly missed with the bat and more so as the skipper and many felt it was important for him to return for the clash against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday.
While there is no official statement on his fitness yet but Mahi, the heartthrob of the nation, looks set to return to the helm for CSK at the Chinnaswamy stadium. He arrived late at the practice session but had a decent hit out in the middle in the nets. Rather, MS Dhoni was seen hitting the ball superbly by stepping out of his crease.
The video of the same was posted by the official Twitter handle of CSK which dropped a hint that their ‘Thala’ was set to feature in the RCB game.

Dhoni’s absence leaves a big hole to fill
Ahead of the match, even the CSK coach Stephen Fleming lamented MS Dhoni’s absence in the previous game. He felt that the team missed the great player and any team will get affected if a player like him is missing. “He is a great player. Whenever a great player isn’t in your side, it means there is a hole to fill, and he has been in great form. So it does have an impact on your side, as well as the captaincy,” Fleming said.
Dhoni is in great form this season with the bat and has bailed the team out of trouble a number of times. CSK’s top order is not in the greatest of touch and that has put the middle-order under a lot of pressure. But MS Dhoni has time and again made sure that they ended up on top of the opposition and no wonder he is the highest run-getter for CSK so far.
