Robin Uthappa has always been one of the biggest strengths of KKR. However, it was not to be this year and the team’s exit out of the tournament can be attributed to his performance. The number three batsman played some of his most horrible knocks ever in this edition of the tournament. On many occasions, he let the game drift away from his team’s grip.

His slow knocks in important matches were extremely frustrating and was also benched in between. Uthappa, in 11 matches, scored 282 runs at an average of 31. However, he scored these runs only at a strike rate of 115 and hit 38 boundaries in the tournament. Batting at the crucial number three spot, he was expected to do much better. But he ended up receiving the flak of the fans due to his performances.
