High-flying Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be looking to continue their winning start to the season when they take on bitter rivals Mumbai Indians (MI) who have made a slow start to the season once again.  While CSK, the only unbeaten team in the league so far, have won all of their opening three games, Mumbai have managed just one win from their first three games. Well, the Super Kings – Mumbai Indians rivalry is one of the fiercest in the league and stats are unlikely to take any shine away from the upcoming clash.

The visitors are entering the contest on the back of a thrilling 12-run win over Rajasthan Royals. The game just showed how capable they are in winning games from tough situations. They were reeling at 27 for 3 but ended up posting a competitive total of 175 for 5 thanks to an unbeaten 75-run knock from their talismanic skipper MS Dhoni.

The CSK skipper not only held the innings together but also rolled back the clocks by hitting three consecutive sixes in the final over which eventually made the difference. In reply, the Royals were restricted to 167 as they managed just three runs in the final over when they needed 12.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, are bracing up to get back to winning ways after suffering an 8-wicket defeat at the hands of Kings XI Punjab. Asked to bat first, the three-time winners had put up another unimpressive performance although they managed to score 176 thanks to Hardik Pandya‘s cameo in the end.  In reply, Kings XI Punjab chased down the total by losing just two wickets.

Unsurprisingly, the Super Kings will start the game as firm favourites. However, the Super Kings will guard against complacency against a team which has given them a stiff challenge throughout. In fact, Mumbai Indians lead the head-to-head 13-11 and have won four of the last five fixtures between these teams.

How will be the weather?

This is one of the games in IPL that all the cricket fans crave to watch and they can expect an interruption-free game at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday. According to AccuWeather, the temperature will remain in the 20s throughout the game while there are no predictions of rain.

The temperature will be around 29 Degrees Celsius and is unlikely to show much fluctuation during the game. The humidity, however, will be on the higher side which might make things sweaty for the players. The humidity will be around 70%.
