With three back-to-back losses, Kolkata Knight Riders will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they host Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday in the 35th match of IPL 2019. The Knight Riders had made a solid start to the season. However, three consecutive defeats have stalled their charge. The two-time winners are now placed at the sixth spot on the points table, after having had occupied the top spot not too long ago.

On the other hand, the Royals Challengers have just not hit it off this season. With one win, six losses on the trot and seven defeats overall, Virat Kohli‘s team is all but eliminated. Even if the Bangalore-based outfit wins their remaining six games, they will have to depend on other results to make it to the playoffs. But given their form at the moment, it is highly unlikely they will be able to win their remaining league games.

Both the teams, meanwhile, have already met once this season. The Royal Challengers were on top for the most part of the game before Andre Russell‘s brilliance took the Knight Riders over the finishing line. Russell hammered 48 from just 13 balls as the Knight Riders chased down 206 with 5 balls remaining. Russell’s availability for the upcoming clash, however, is in doubt after he was hit by a rising bouncer by a net bowler on Wednesday. There is still no confirmation over his availability but the Knight Riders will be desperate to have him in their ranks as they look to end their losing streak.

How will be the weather:

The temperature will hover around 28-degree Celsius during the match while the humidity will make things tough for the players. The humidity will be around 79% at the start of the game and will gradually increase to 80s as the game progresses. Dew could also play a major role in the game.
