Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ceased their six-match losing streak, with a win against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Eden Gardens. Moreover, the 34-run victory also meant that their Net Run Rate was taken care of. However, the task of qualifying for the playoffs remains arduous for them as they can’t afford to drop a game here. Dinesh Karthik & Co. are next scheduled to play the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Mohali.
Kolkata has done reasonably well at the venue, having won three of their six games. Punjab has been superlative in patches, but inconsistent shows mean that they are languishing on the seventh spot in the points table. In 12 matches, KXIP have won only five and are in requisite of winning their remaining games in order to have any chance of progressing to the subsequent stages of the T20 tournament.
The 52nd game of the IPL between KXIP and KKR will be hosted by the PCA Stadium in Mohali.
The match starts at 08:00 PM local time (14:30 GMT).
The game will be live on Star Sports in India. (Live streaming on Hotstar).
The temperature during the match will start at 32 degrees Celsius and will come down to 27 degrees by the end of the contest. The conditions won’t be humid with the numbers between 22 and 35 per cent. There will be a bit of a cloud cover, but it isn’t expected to turn detrimental.

Kolkata Knight Riders – W, L, L, L, L
The pitch in Mohali has been a good one for batting and teams defending totals have found it difficult under the lights with dew also being a factor. With both teams in a must-win scenario, the sides may want to chase the target down.
