Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will be looking to kickstart their season when they lock horns against each other at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Both the teams are entering the contest after suffering close losses in their respective tournament openers. While the Royals lost at home to Kings XI Punjab, the Sunrisers Hyderabad found themselves at the wrong side of the result against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.

After putting up a big total of 181, the Sunrisers were well on course to defend it when the Knight Riders needed an improbable 52 from the last three overs. With the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Siddarth Kaul in the team, it looked like the last year’s runners-up will win the contest. However, Andre Russell played a blinder of an innings to guide the Knight Riders to a miraculous win with two balls remaining. He hammered 49 off just 19 to break the Sunrisers’ hearts.

Royals, on the other hand, fell victim to a controversial run-out that changed the course of the game and eventually cost them two points. Chasing 184 against Kings XI Punjab, the Royals were cruising at 108 for 1 when Ravi Ashwin dismissed Jos Buttler through Mankad. The run-out completely changed the course of the game as the Royals lost wickets in heap to finish on 170 for 9.

Both the teams will be desperate to move on from the defeats in their opening games. An exciting contest may be on the cards as they will strive to make a statement in the upcoming game. As far as the stats are concerned, the Sunrisers and Royals have played 9 games against each other. Sunrisers are slightly ahead in the head-to-head ratio, having won 5 of the nine games. Last year, they had won both the games.

How will be the weather?

According to AccuWeather, the temperature will be around 31 Degrees Celsius at the start of the game. But as the game will progress, the temperature will come down in the 20s. One can expect a full game as there is no rain prediction.
