IPL 2019: Rajasthan Royals unveil their jersey for the upcoming season

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) have officially decided to turn Pink this year for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They had sported the Pink jersey last season in support of the breast cancer and it received a huge response from the fans. Following the success, the franchise felt the need of turning Pink for the whole season and have unveiled the new jersey ahead of the commencement of the IPL on Saturday.

Almost all the players of the teams have joined the Royals camp ahead of their first game of the season. This was the best time for the franchise to unveil the jersey as the likes of Ben Stokes, Steve Smith and Jos Buttler among many were present at the event.

Pink is the dominating colour this time around but they haven’t let go of the traditional dark blue. The top-left side of the shirt has that colour which makes it look wonderful as well. The Royals’ Twitter handle posted the picture of the event.

Royals hoping to turn the fortunes

Rajasthan Royals will play their first game against the Kings XI Punjab on Monday in Jaipur. These teams will be the last to get their campaign underway and in Pink, the hosts will be expecting to start the season on a high with a victory. They had qualified for the playoffs last year with a famous win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) but their tournament was ended by the KKR in the eliminator.

Ajinkya Rahane, the skipper, even has Steve Smith up his sleeves this time around which has bolstered the team’s batting. Also, Jos Buttler will have to replicate a similar kind of form to help the team stay at the top of the points table consistently. The current team balance is a lot better as well and it will be interesting to see how the Royals fare this year.
