Chennai Super Kings will be up against Delhi Capitals in what promises to be an exciting encounter with Delhi surely looking to avenge their defeat from last year’s Qualifier 2. While CSK will look to reverse their fortunes after their defeat against Rajasthan Royals, Delhi will look to carry on their winning momentum.

Delhi Capitals might have a slight edge in this match considering they played their first game in Dubai itself while CSK have played their first two games in different venues. Delhi on paper look a better side too, however it would be a mistake to rule out CSK.

CSK have, over the last few years, done exceedingly well against Delhi and will look to leverage those performances in this game. Despite being top contenders in this tournament, both teams seem to have a few chinks in their armor as of now.

Here are 3 players you can go ahead and exclude from your Dream11 team for CSK vs DC:

1. Shane Watson (9.5 credits)

The legendary former Australian all rounder hasn’t looked up to the mark in the IPL yet. He was dismissed for just 4 against MI and even though he got off to a good start against RR, and scored 33 of 21 balls, he still doesn’t look completely settled. He hasn’t been bowling and his credit requirement of 9.5 is a bit too much with the number of batting superstars on show for this game. It would be better to leave out Watson for more in form and multi dimensional players.

2. Prithvi Shaw (8.5 credits)

The young batsman from Mumbai seemed to be out of sorts against quality pace in the first game against Punjab. Shaw is known to be an aggressive player who likes to dominate in the first 6 overs but the pitch in Dubai hasn’t been as conducive to his aggressive batting. Rather it has assisted the seamers considerably. Shaw didn’t seem to possess the patience in the first game to play the ball by the merit and there is a high possibility he might struggle against the likes of Deepak Chahar.

3. Lungi Ngidi (8.5 credits)

Lungi Ngidi was taken to the cleaners by Jofra Archer in the last game as he smoked 4 sixes off him in the last over of their innings, with a total of 30 runs being scored. Lungi finished with figures of none for 56. He looked absolutely clueless of where to bowl to  Archer. Even in the first game against MI, even though he picked 3 wickets, he was very expensive early on. His role isn’t defined in  the team as to whether he is primarily a powerplay or death bowler and his bowling style doesn’t look to be suited for the UAE pitches. He may even sit out this game. Hence it is better not to opt for him.
